ISES Luxury 2 Die 4 Event at Brazos Hall

This week I was asked by the Austin chapter of ISES to photograph their Luxury 2 Die 4 event. The event took place at Austin’s brand new Brazos Hall, which is surely to be a wildly popular venue due to its size and proximity to the Driskill Hotel and downtown Austin. The evening was coordinated by the lovely Savvy Events, who went all out with the luxurious theme using a Marie Antoinette motif. Off with their heads, said Amazing Ice Designs with their ice guillotine. Guests and vendors alike dressed for the occasion and enjoyed dinner provided by Catering with a Twist, cake from Simon Lee Bakery, and an awesome cupcake and apple bar from The Cupcake Bar.

As wedding vendors, there is some amount of “luxury” to all of our businesses, in that no one will die if they do not utilize our services. However, some vendors are more luxurious than others, and a panel of these vendors came out to talk about their unique role in crafting the perfect event. The vendors consisted of an ice sculptor, my good friend Sean Leahy of Full Spectrum Ice, Lori Schneider of The Cupcake Bar, and Conor Mongan of SUM Booth photo booth. The panel was interviewed by Mr. Kevin Molesworth, friend of Andy Sams and Vice President of Programs and Education for ISES Austin.

A range of entertainment was present for the event, including Hill Country Strings and Spacecraft Entertainment, and old school arcade games from Game Plan Entertainment. The photo booth for the night was provided by The Traveling Photo Booth and FilmStrong video-recorded the whole event. To start off the panel and later the dancing with an actual bang, Starlight Fireworks shot off indoor fireworks, which were really neat.

The night, and especially my detail photos, would not have been the same without the stunning floral arrangements provided by Floral Renaissance and Arthouse Floral Design. As you’re scrolling through, check out the amazing floral dress created by Zuzu’s Petals and the printed fans from Nuptial Necessities. Finally, the lighting arranged by Ilios Lighting absolutely set the tone for the night and make a stellar backdrop for these photos.
